TECHNOLOGICAL ART NOUVEAU
In a venture to intertwine the past with the present, our group embarked on an imaginative project that breathes new life into modern technology by envisioning it through the lens of the Art Nouveau movement. Our objective was to transport contemporary design back to an era characterized by its organic forms, flowing lines, and intricate patterns, asking the question, "What if Art Nouveau was the prevailing style of today's design world?"
We delved into the unique elements that make Art Nouveau stand out—a style known for its embrace of natural forms and curvilinear details. Our challenge was to transmute the sleek, minimalist ethos of today's technology into designs that echo the elaborate ornamentation and aesthetic philosophies of the late 19th and early 20th centuries.
The artifacts of our current digital era—a smartphone, computer, headphones, mouse, AirPods, VR headset, game controller, and the iconic rolling office chair—were reimagined as if conceived by the masters of Art Nouveau. These everyday objects were transformed into works of art, boasting the signature tendrils, floral motifs, and elegant figures that define the movement.
